Howl's Moving Castle

I have always been a fan of Hayao Miyazaki's animations since when I was little. My favorite is 'Howl's Moving Castle' so I chose this one to write a fan fiction about. I always wondered about what happened later on when at the end of the animation, the prince from Howl's Moving Castle said he will be back for Sophie once the war is over as he was leaving. So in this fan fiction I will have the prince as my main character and have the story set as when the war is over and the prince starts a journey to find Sophie.

The big bang theory:

The many super powers of sheldon cooper
In this fanfic the author has described what she believes the character Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory consists of various super powers. Super powers that are not intended for evil nor to combat evil but help to equip the character in his daily life (x-ray vision and copy).


The surrogate paradox
The female character Penny is considering if it is morally correct to host a surrogate child for a strange couple in the name of intellectual property.








9 month paradigm shift
The problem with this fan fic is that the author does not understand the original characters but had delivered a interesting prospective as in "what if" situations. For example, the character sheldon does not drink alchol nor does he believe in the concept of "one night stands". The character sheldon has become more loose.

Chinese takeways at midnight
What happens when you eat chinese takeways at midnight? you dream of flying in space with strangers who look like your friends but are not completely reversed. Well that is when you are Sheldon. Deemed to be crazy by hois fellow friends he is oftn described to be one lab accident away from being a super villan. the author has sticked to the original character developments and posted an interesting read into Sheldon's dreams. Quite similar to Lenerds dream in previous season about Sheldon respawning to more Sheldons because of over indulging in Thai food. Overall this fanfiction was short but a good read.

Sheldon & Amy
according to sheldon and amy, they are not dating.. but from all other perspectives their friends say otherwise. Author dives into an extension into the usual relationship between sheldon and amy. In the mind of a genius it is not all maths and physics but also human nature will always be in the unconscious level. The author does well to explore this realm where the usual audiences of the show would have not existed at all.

I thoroughly enjoyed this read and author has portrayed the characters well. I find the mixture of teenage romance genre with the scientific comedy genre a mismatch but nevertheless a good read.

Dami's 5 Fan fiction review

Harry Potter

In this fan fiction the author has described the love feelings between Severus and Lily (Harry’s mother).  In actual plot of Harry Potter, Severus Snape befriended Lily as a child when they lived near each other. However as soon as they arrived in Hogwarts They were driven apart by the sorting hat, putting them into different Houses. Later Lily got married with James Potter but Snape remained in love with Lily. Therefore the author disconnected the provoked evil feelings between Lily and Severus and transformed that into love feeling. I personally liked this fan faction because the author has well described  the Lily’s feeling which is contrary to the real plot.


 Little Red Riding Hood 
In the true story of Little Red Riding Hood, The big bad wolf has eaten little red and her grandmother. The ax man kills the wolf and sets the two free. But, in this fan fiction the author made the ax man, a villain and the big bad wolf to a good character. their characters are completely opposited to the original story, by the end of the story, the wolf has sacrified himself for little red and her grandmother. The author has written a good fan fiction.


The Three Little Pigs

In this fan fiction, the author has made the wolf as a vegetarian. This fan fiction is similar to the true story of The Three Little Pigs. 
The wolf wanted to make a batch of pancakes, but there was no flour. So Mr.Wolf decided to borrow some flour from three new neighbors. (three little pigs).
But the three little pigs were scared just by hearing Mr. Wolf's voice and behaved rudely.
Mr. Wolf got angry and blew first and second pig's house, which were made of straws and sticks. The author made Mr. Wolf not a bad character at the first place. I personally liked the fact that the author made Mr. wolf a vegetarian.


Cinderella

The author has stated that 'Fairy tales aren't always happy ', as we all know most of the fairy tales are happy ending. They lived happily ever after.... 
the author made the Cinderella and her first step sister's situation change to opposite to each other. In the end, Anastasia married to the Prince and nobody cared about Cinderella even though Cinderella was the real owner of the glass slipper.
The author made the story more realistically.
Other than that, the basic outline of the story was same as the true Cinderella story.
It was a interesting fan fiction.


Spirited Away

In this fan fiction, the author wrote a story after Haku and Sen (Chihiro) saved Sen's parents from Spirited World. Haku realized that he love Sen after Sen has returned to the real world. Zenilba suggested Haku to write a journal for Sen and Sen also decided to write a dairy so she could not forget what she has gone through in the Spirited World  and Haku. This fan fiction is still publishing at the moment. I really liked how the author expressed the feeling of love between Sen and Haku. I felt sad over how Sen and Haku could not be together even though they are truly in love.

The Three Little Pigs

In this fan fiction, the author has changed the story with humor. Personally, I liked the beginning because the author briefly described the personalities each of the pigs had. The author also showed realistic description of the wolf that the wolf was the most powerful character in the story.    

The Little Red Riding Hood

I liked the way the author changed what the grand mother said at the last to the Riding Hood. In the original one, the wolf says "The better to hear you" but in this story it is changed to "That comes from listening". However, I didn't like the overall story because it was a bit disgusting that the author has made the Little Red Riding Hood to eat bits and pieces of her own grand mother such as grand mother's jaw, blood, teeth etc.   

Snow white

In the original fan fiction, the Prince kisses Snow white who ate the poisonous apple but in this story the Snow white wakes up by one of the servant stumbling on a tree brunch and the piece of the poisoned apple pops out of Snow white. 

I liked the rhythm of this story which was quick and simple to understand. 

Beauty and the Beast

Just like the original, Beauty's father who ran into the castle by the storm, gets imprisoned by the Beast. The Beast commands the father to be released and his daughter to be send to the castle. The love between the Beauty and the Beast grows. At the end, the Beast was just about to die but turns into a Prince by Beauty, saying that she will marry him.  

The story wasn't a big difference with the original. I didn't like it much because the author has written the story too simple without any dynamic parts. The author sticked to the original characters too much which was boring.

 

Cinderella

In this fan fiction, it is written in a mice, Oscar's, point of view. In this story, Cinderella is the same as the original and most of the outline is the same. She cleans and tidy's up everyday by her step-mother order, then by the fairy god mother she gets changed into a dress, goes to the ball, meets prince charming and accidentally leaves one of her glass shoe.  

There was no big difference of the Cinderella'

s character with the original one, but, the author characterized the mice and the Fairy God Mother in the story which was more enthusiastic to me. It was fun to read in a mouse's point of view.

Pirates of the Caribbean

This fan fiction is written on Latina's point of view. Latina was one of the characters on the latest movie of 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. She came out as a beautiful Spanish woman who is Jack Sparrow's ex-girlfriend. At the end of the latest 'Pirates of the Caribbean' movie, Jack Sparrow leaves Latina on a deserted island and runs away on a small boat. This fan fiction continues from there showing Latina's frustration about being left on the island and her thinking about how she will get out of there.

This fan fiction was not very interesting to read because on the movie it already shows how Latina was angry and frustrated about being left on a deserted island and she yells at Jack Sparrow as he leaves. So writing about Latina yelling and being angry at Jack Sparrow is now very new to the readers. However the part in the end where Latina is determined to survive the island and take revenge on Jack was interesting.

Dragon Ball Z 

I used to enjoy watching 'Dragon Ball Z' in the past so I searched a fan fiction about it. This one introduces a new character who is another  Sayain. In 'Dragon Ball Z', Sayains come out as the strongest kind. The new Sayain in this fan fiction is a woman Sayain who came to find Goku because they were promised to be each other's mate at birth. The woman Sayain's name is Cyannea and she attacks Goku because she is frustrated about him not keeping his promise. 

The idea of putting in a new character, especially a Sayain, was very interesting. I enjoyed reading this fan fiction. Cyannea comes out as a beautiful character which was also interesting because most of the characters in 'Dragon Ball Z' have unique features. Also putting in a woman Sayain who is supposed to be Goku's mate was funny because Goku already has a wife so it made me want to read more about what will happen later on.

The Little Mermaid 

This fan fiction is about Ariel's second daughter, Hali. I have always been an fan of 'The Little Mermaid' and have watched the first and second version of it. This fan fiction  is mostly about Hali and her personality, features, etc. She has red hair just like Ariel, unlike her sister Melody who had black hair like her father. Hali is good at singing just like her mother and she loves the ocean and is good friends with Flounder's children. 

The fan fiction was very enjoyable because since I am a fan of 'The Little Mermaid', I always like to read stories related to it. Featuring Hali just like her mother was good as well because when I watched 'The Little Mermaid 2', I was disappointed about Melody having black hair and not looking like Ariel. Flounder was one of my favorite characters in 'The Little Mermaid' so his children coming out in this story was interesting. I look forward to reading other episodes about Hali and her adventures.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S Fan fiction

I am a big fan of friends and I was disappointed with how they ended everything. Here is my take 4 months later on exactly how the group all separated after the show:

"What Ross?!" her anger was sharp and present as she went around in a circle like a dog chasing its tail "I am sorry I didn't tell you sooner..but It will be better for all of us really" Ross replied hastily. Suddenly the room was very silent and the tension had somehow subsided. Rachel took a deep breath as she slowly sat down on the scotch guarded lounge suite. "Is this the best decision for all of us Ross?" she finally said. Ross and Rachel had moved out from their apartments in down town New York to a quiet suburban area in New Jersey only 4 months ago and already events were changing drastically. Almost too fast for Rachel she thought. Meanwhile Emily their daughter was sleeping peacefully in her crib upstairs. "It will be, really" Ross said.

"This new position will be exactly what our family needs and it is the opportunity of a life time for me" Ross sounded almost unrealistic as he held her hand for support. Colorado state University had contacted Ross a week ago offering him a position as head of department of Anthropology and he had been in a state of euphoria since then, just he was not sure how to break the news. His sister Monica had already moved to the countryside of New Jersey with her twins and he felt that New Jersey nor New York held any benefits for his family. "Colorado Rachel... Beautiful scenery. Beautiful, just like you. I know you will like it if you gave it a chance. Emily can attend a nice country school and it will definitely be future proof" His smile and the way he expressed those words made Rachel sigh and they held eachother. "Fine fine fine, I will get Emily and you can tell the others" .

Post it notes were always the perfect way to get someone's attention and get it quickly. Ross wanted to make sure tonight's farewell party went smoothly. To his delight this time it had worked perfectly. Everyone in their neighbourhood had turned up to his back yard party. "I am going to miss you guys heaps. But Colorado Ross... really? I know you were lame all this time but this is a whole new low for you" Phoebe smirked. "We will be fine thanks" Ross gave the same expression back in return. Phoebe had been their closet friend for over ten years and so was Joey which made this evening extra special. "Joey heard you were leaving us as well? Whats the plan?" Ross questioned "well.. I am planning to start my own sit com series which stars me.. I think I will call it Joey" He winked. "Erm how imaginative.." Ross said as he backed away. Joey has always been the clown in the group and still after so many years he had not changed a single bit.

Emily and Rachel came out with their fanciest clothes and everyone started to clap and whistle almost like they were celebrities down a red carpet. "Ain't this a little too overboard Rachel?" Ross obviosuly referring to their grand entrance "Well Ross, I wanted to ensure everyone remembered my taste of style and also Emily looks great as well don't you think?" She replied in a smug expression. Without another word Ross grabbed the nearest wine glass and fork and hit it gently to gather the party goers attention. "Thank you everyone for coming tonight in such short notice. In the past 4 months our time here has been amazing and you have all been so helpful. Our closet friends Joey and Phoebe with my sister Monica and her husband Chandler have all come together one last time to celebrate" Pause "They all have great futures ahead of them and I am sure they will succeed" the people clapped and jeered "I have taken a new job in Colorado and me and my lovely partner with my daughter Emily have all decided to take it and move as soon as possible" he could clearly see the shock in the eyes of those that did not know this already.

"One last time we will raise a glass to all our wonderful memories that we had" Joey quickly had a childish grin on his face clearly thinking of those memories. After his speech all the friends and neighbours came to congratulate them and hug them. Only hours was Rachel angry at Ross but now she was clearly tearful and emotional as she hugged her friends. Ross grabbed the nearest beer and took one to Joey and Chandler. "Once friends, we will always be friends" And passed a bottle around and all toasted.
